my life, without me in it

so I died tonight and everything I’d ever treasured was rendered landfill or black-bagged embarrassment – maybe a few teary eyed tokens, taken by my son, to be invested with some voodoo quality for a year or two before ending up under the bed. Txts unanswered – bills unpaid. A laptop and a phone filled with things nobody really wants to look at, slowly discharging for the final time. Car boot sale books and a bag of plates for the charity shop. All the things he could have done, At least he’s at peace now,

(Disclaimer: I haven’t died tonight and don’t seem to be in imminent of danger of doing so…)
